The objective of the Georgetown University Social Media Advisory Group is to provide a forum for cross-organizational collaboration to:
- Create University social media guidelines to provide members of the Georgetown community with guidance for using social media to communicate about the University.
- Design training program for the Georgetown University Social Media Working Group.
- Create and distribute institutional guidance on the use of social media platforms.
The Office of Strategic Communications will direct the content of these meetings with contributions from other members of the group.
Membership is by invitation and represents key areas within the University.
