About the Office
The Office of Public Affairs and Strategic Development, led by Daniel Porterfield, Ph.D., (C ’83) has three main missions:
1. It represents and promotes the University, and its faculty, students, programs, and policies to a variety of stakeholders, including the general public, the media, the federal and local governments, and the neighboring communities.
2. It participates in University-wide management, strategic planning, community building, and emergency preparedness and response.
3. It works with President DeGioia and University stakeholders to identify and develop new initiatives, programs, partnerships, capacities and relationships to carry forward the mission of the University.
